Gardening workshops set this month in Huntington

INSTITUTE, W.Va. - Workshops to help beginning and experienced gardeners are being held this month in Huntington.

West Virginia State University Extension Service will present the workshops starting at 10 a.m. May 24 at Heritage Farm Museum and Village. The workshops are free and are supported by the U.S. Agriculture Department 2501 Grant Program.

The workshops will cover topics such as small fruit production and alternative growing methods.

Included are bramble production, container gardening, post-harvest handling and cold storage, and aquaponics systems and fish selection.
